Jason’s focus and interest has always been on the research side of financial services. Even at a young age, his interest was piqued by the stock market. He remembers fondly how one of his teachers told him that the only reason the stock market works is because of faith. He enjoys analyzing the connection between the economy and the markets, looking at trends, and forecasting. Jason started his career at State Street as a financial analyst in 2010, working toward his CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst®) designation. He then shifted to TwinFocus Capital Partners in 2012 as a portfolio analyst, finishing and earning his CFA® designation in 2014. In March of 2015, he began working at RINET Company as a senior research analyst and was promoted to director of research, where he stayed until early 2022. Jason made the move to Boston Wealth in March of 2022, where he was drawn to the opportunity to make a relatively large impact at a small firm.

Being the eldest child of parents who were both commissioned officers in the military, Jason learned discipline, structure, and love of country at a young age. Born in Stuttgart Germany, they relocated to the states when Jason was a child, moving five times across the country before he was 10 years old. His family then settled in Colorado, where Jason spent his teenage years until leaving for New York to attend college, where he would meet his future wife, Robin. Jason graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University in 2005 with a degree in finance.

Following in his parent’s footsteps and aligning with his desire to serve his country, after graduating, Jason entered active duty in the Army. He trained in the U.S. and served overseas in Baghdad, Iraq, where he received the bronze star for leadership in combat. He separated from the military in 2010 and made the move to Massachusetts to begin his life with Robin in her home state and to start his finance career at State Street.

Jason and Robin were married in 2011 and reside in Byfield with their four wonderful children and family mascot, Roosevelt the golden retriever.

In his free time, Jason enjoys teaching and guiding his children on hobbies that he and his wife enjoy, like skiing. He is also an avid runner and really enjoys surfing.

Jason has been published in City Wire magazine regarding portfolio construction, had several white papers published on the RINET website, wrote or co-wrote the quarterly market outlooks for RINET’s client base, and has been a guest speaker on many different forums to financial professionals regarding market outlooks.

Jason is a member of the CFA Society and BSA Society (Boston security analyst). He has also served as the treasurer of the Boston chapter of the Syracuse club and on the development committee of Veterans Legal Services.

He holds the FINRA Series 7, 63, 65, and SIE licenses.
