When Dan entered the investment business years ago as a stockbroker with E.F. Hutton, the last thing he thought he would be doing was managing retirement plans. Over time, he realized that many people he knew were in poorly designed plans and situations that would prevent them from retiring comfortably.

With more than 30 years of experience in financial services, Dan’s specialization is in designing and constructing corporate retirement plans for both plan sponsors and their participants. His goal is to ensure that fiduciary standards are being met and that plans generate better outcomes for sponsors and participants alike.

Dan’s role involves managing the firm’s corporate retirement department while exploring ways to enhance the services, strategies, and solutions we offer. He holds the AIF®, CRPS®, and CPFA® certifications.

Born and raised in Chicopee, Massachusetts, Dan graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in economics. After graduation, he started at E.F. Hutton. Upon completing his training, Dan experienced the market collapse of Black Monday, and E.F. Hutton was deemed insolvent. Dan was forced to pursue other opportunities, ultimately relocating to the Midwest, where he met his wife, Karen.

Dan and Karen married in 1994 and moved to Massachusetts. They have three children, Matt, Ryan, and Regan, and live in Westwood, Massachusetts. Dan has coached more than 60 sports teams for his kids, including soccer, hockey, basketball, and baseball. He spearheaded the fundraising efforts for an addition to their church, First Parish of Westwood. Dan is a member of the National Association of Plan Advisors and serves on the Commonwealth Financial Network® Retirement Advisory Council.

Dan enjoys spending time with his family, dogs, playing golf, hitting the beach, and traveling.
